PREPRESS
Design Studio
The design studio KJ Co FIZ is a cohesive team of specialists with deep experience in packaging design and graphic development for flexographic printing. Equipped with Esko Artwork software, the studio handles both creative and technical tasks. Our designers not only adapt existing layouts to meet the specific requirements of flexo printing but also develop original concepts and custom designs from scratch.
Photopolymer Plate Production
KJ Co FIZ SPb employs advanced HD Flexo technologies enhanced with Pixel+ (Esko Artwork) solutions. These systems strengthen the mechanical properties of photopolymer plates and ensure stable, repeatable print performance throughout long production runs. The combined technology enables precise selection of plate materials based on artwork characteristics, substrate type, and ink system. It also allows full control over dot geometry and the application of specialized screening methods across the entire color range.
Stage 2
PRINTING
Our production floor is equipped with high-speed flexographic presses SOMA 850-1270-10EG/WG M capable of printing up to 10 colors. With a working width of up to 1000 mm and an adjustable repeat length from 360 to 1000 mm, these machines provide exceptional flexibility for various packaging formats. The presse support additional applications such as coatings and varnishes in a separate pass on finished laminates. Unit features advanced video monitoring, automated ink supply and viscosity control, and high-efficiency drying systems that enable stable, high-speed printing.
Stage 3
POST PRINTING
Lamination
We provide both solvent-based and solventless lamination technologies, enabling us to meet a variety of performance and barrier requirements. Cold Seal can be applied either in register or as a continuous coating, and lamination speeds range from 200 to 400 m/min.
Laser Processing
Our laser systems enhance the functionality and convenience of packaging, adding value for the end consumer. They allow us to create transparent windows in opaque materials, perform precision perforation, cut tear notches, and apply variable information directly onto the substrate.
Cutting & Slitting
The slitting area is equipped with multiple high-speed machines capable of producing reels with clean, accurate edges and widths tailored to customer requirements—down to a minimum slit width of 25 mm.
Data Matrix & Digital Marking
For traceability and product identification, KJ Co FIZ applies digital markings using industrial inkjet systems. Our equipment supports high-precision printing of Data Matrix codes directly onto packaging materials.
