Coffee and tea require high-barrier packaging that protects the product from gas, moisture, and light exposure to prevent oxidation and preserve aroma and freshness.

Multilayer laminates with a foil barrier layer are used to achieve low transmission rates for oxygen and water vapor, providing resistance to aroma loss and vapor permeability.

The packaging must also offer strong seal integrity, mechanical durability, and compatibility with common formats such as vacuum packs, pouches, and degassing-valve systems.
